Lotus is the national flower of India. Maata Sri Lakshmi is very much fond of lotus flowers. It is always offered to her in Sri Lakshmi Temple and Sri Lakshmi Puja at home. It is one of the sacred flowers and has played a prominent part in our Puranas. The Lotus flower is an auspicious symbol in our Indian culture.
